How Travel Will Change With Intercity Rockets

927

Intercity rockets have been created mostly so that they can take passengers to the moon. For travelers that want to remain earthbound, these rockets can be useful as well. If all the bugs get worked out of them, passengers could go from Toronto to Los Angeles in as little as 30 minutes. This could greatly change the way we travel and make even far away cities a little more attainable. However, there are some difficulties that they my face.

Legislation
Even though it will be possible to use intercity rockets for travel, it still might be hard for them to pass legislation. The noise of the rockets and the resources needed to make this happen may not make some citizens and law makers happy. Despite the fact that the technology is available, there may be a lot of backlash that keeps it from happening.

The Experience
Let’s face it, just because you can travel from one place to another in a short period of time, a lot of people won’t go for it because of the overall experience. It’s bound to be very loud, plus travelers will feel a lot of vibrations. Imagine feeling as if you are being pinned down to your seat throughout most of your voyage. Despite the fact that the total travel time may be less than an hour, not everyone is willing to be uncomfortable for even a short period of time.

Rockets Get A Bad Rap
In general, rockets often get a bad rap. There’s been numerous malfunctions of some of them, plus the accommodations tend to be small. Because of this, riding in one may be a hard sell. Not everyone wants to ride in a rocket that’s going over 100 miles an hour just to save on their commute.

The Funding May Not Be There
In order to make this happen, you have to have enough investors. Those who do have the money to invest in intercity rockets often don’t want too because they just aren’t sure it’s a viable business model. Because this is a totally new venture as far as travel goes, many investors aren’t interested in taking such a huge risk that may not gain them any profit.

If intercity rockets do take off they can revolutionize the way we travel across the world. There’s still a long way to go to prove that they are safe and the experience is worth it. However, if we can get past our fears, that are similar to those that were had when airplanes were first introduced, intercity rockets may surely be an innovation in the travel industry.
