If roughing it isn’t your thing, however, there are quite a few luxurious cabins you can rent that feel more like a hotel room in the woods than a dusty old cabin.

Despite looking like a cabin from the outside, the inside looks more like a resort. Onsite there is a hot springs to relax in and there’s a dance hall for those looking to boogie the night away. Each cabin is hand-built and offers amazing views of the meadows that surround them. Meals are served in the saloon and some cabins have outdoor showers so that guests can get clean while getting a view of the mountains.

The Lodge & Spa At Brush Creek Ranch
There are quite a few different cabin types available at this dude ranch. There is everything from historic looking cabins to brand new ones. Cabins have glass showers and sitting rooms. Guests can eat at the Lodge Great Room and enjoy activities like clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing or a picnic somewhere on the lodge’s 30,000 acres.

The Swag, Waynesville, North Carolina
These cabins offers visitors some amazing views. They are nestled at 5,000 feet elevation in the Smoky Mountains. Each cabin has a rustic feel with handmade quilts, antiques and carefully selected artwork. Many of the cabins also have private balconies and wood-burning fireplaces as well as outdoor soaking tubs. There is a chef onsite that prepares all of the meals which include everything from a breakfast buffet to a brown bag lunch.

Blue Lake Ranch, Hesperus, Colorado
It’s all about choices at Blue Lake Ranch. Travelers can choose from 16 cabins that offer a view of the woods or the lake. Nestled near the La Plata Mountains, each one of them is spacious and private. They have pillow-top king beds, private decks, gas fireplaces and large bathtubs. Meals can be eaten at the Main Ranch House and everything is made from scratch.

Glacier Bay Country Inn, Gustaus Alaska
For those that want a private cabin with an amazing view, this is the place to go. These cabins are located on 164 acres of rainforest and there is a private landing strip for those arriving by airplane. There are five cabins and five main-lodge guestrooms. Meals consist of foods like fresh crab and homemade bread. Some of the more popular activities include hiking through Glacier Bay National Park or doing some whale watching.
