There are well over 1,000 different theme parks throughout the world. Many of these are filled with rides, games and food. Theme parks are known for their fun, relaxed environment where visitors can enjoy being with one another. Because theme parks are so popular it seems as if every year there are new ones being built. Two new theme parks, Cinecitta World and IMG Worlds of Adventure are opening up to the public this year.

Cinecitta World- Italy
Cinecitta World is set to open just outside of Rome, Italy this summer. The entire park is centered on TV shows and films made by Cinecitt Studios. There will be 3 thrill rides, 16 indoor attractions for kids and 19 attractions for families. There are also around 60 different food places to choose from. There’s a second phase of this theme park that is currently being developed. It will consist of an area called The Village and will have theaters, shops and restaurants.

IMG Worlds of Adventure- Dubai

Other Parks Worth Visiting
If you are looking for a park to go to now, there’s a couple of theme parks that have new attractions that have recently opened or are about to open to the public.

Heide Park Resort- Germany
Heide Park Resort is located in Germany and is one of the biggest German amusement parks. On March 29 of this year a new ride called Flug der Damonen opened. This ride has huge drops and turns and even takes riders upside down for part of the ride. The name of the ride means “Flight of the Demons” and each of the rider’s cars is shaped like the head of a demon.

Helix- Sweden
Liseberg amusement park is getting ready to open a new coaster called Helix. It will feature a 4,500 feet long track. The coaster reaches speeds of up to 62 mph’s as it takes riders on a maze of twists and turns. Helix will be the largest single attraction investment of the park’s 41 attractions and rides.

There are so many different theme parks to choose from that no matter where you are traveling too, there will probably be one nearby. Even if amusement parks are not your favorite thing, it would probably still be fun to check one out in whatever city you are visiting and see rides and attractions that might be very different than what you are familiar with.
