What To See: This museum is full of art! There are 35,000 different pieces of artwork which includes the famous Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. The I.M. Pei 69-foot glass pyramid is worth seeing, although not everyone is a fan of this large structure.

What To See: There is more than 2.07 million square feet of artwork at this museum. Located in Tiananmen Square, visitors can see pieces of art that are more than 5,000 years old. All of these pieces need to be approved by the Ministry of Culture before they are allowed to be displayed. Popular items include pottery from the Tang Dynasty, Buddhist sculptures and African art.

What To See: There are more than 126 million pieces of artwork located here. One of the largest, and most popular collections, is the dinosaur fossils. People flock from near to far to see the Hope Diamond as well. This museum also houses the world’s largest marine collection and debuted in 2008. The National Museum of Natural History is constantly making improvements and adding more items to their collection each year.

What To See: One of the reasons why this museum is so popular is that it offers free admission to see the 7 million different objects. With galleries that stretch 2.5 miles, this museum is massive and you will probably need to spend more than one day here in order to see it all. Popular pieces of artwork include the Elgin Marbles and the Rosetta Stone.

What To See: Works in this museum include those that the different popes have collected over the years. The diversity of the collection lends itself to being able to see the unique history of the area. Popular artwork to see includes those done by Michelangelo and Raphael. Everything from paintings to sculptures can be found at the Vatican Museum.
