Belfast airport in Ireland was forced to close again today due to the ash cloud from Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. The ash may also affect travel in the UK on Monday and Tuesday, if winds remain as predicted. Unfortunately, this could continue to happen for several months. If you’re flying to Europe in the coming months, please make sure you have insurance, and check what the policy covers in reference to flight delays or cancellations. In most cases it’s not too late to purchase a policy now that covers trip delay, it just may not cover medical cancellations due to pre-existing conditions. Speak to a travel specialist for assistance.
