Over the years we have shared over 1,000 cruise line and Disney park recipes. Disney recipes are one of the most requested each year. The Disney parks have been able to safely re-open amid COVID 19, and we are excited to share this recipe for gourmet mac and cheese from Epcot’s 2020 Taste of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This festival is always a way to taste global food and drinks, while enjoying the magic that is Disney.
This mac and cheese blends three different types of cheese (making it super creamy & fattening,) with a crispy topping. To make this Gourmet Macaroni, you’ll need a box of cavatappi pasta or elbow macaroni, as well as butter, flour, whole milk, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, white cheddar cheese, yellow cheddar cheese, Boursin Garlic and Fine Herbs cheese along with salt and pepper. For the toasted topping, you’ll need panko, butter and salt, which will then be added on top of the dish along with crumbles from the cheese wheel. The recipe feeds 6 to 8 people.

In addition to the cheesy meal, the Disney blog also features other top dishes from this year’s festival, including Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-Scented Couscous from Africa, Kālua Pork Slider with Sweet-and-Sour DOLE® Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise from Hawaiiand liquid nitrogen cake pops.

Why Family Travel Requires More Planning — and More Expertise
Family travel is the most rewarding kind of trip to plan well and the most stressful kind to plan poorly. Children have different thresholds for long travel days, disrupted sleep schedules, and adult-paced itineraries. At Atlas Travel Center, we’ve been booking family vacations since 1987, and we’ve learned that the key to a great family trip isn’t finding a place with a kids’ club — it’s designing an itinerary that genuinely works for every member of the group, regardless of age.
Disney destinations, in particular, require a level of advance planning that surprises most first-timers. Dining reservations open 60 days in advance and popular restaurants fill within minutes. Lightning Lane passes and special event tickets require strategy. Knowing which parks to prioritize on which days, how to minimize wait times, and where to build in rest — these are the details our advisors have helped thousands of families navigate over the years.
Beyond the Theme Parks
Some of the best family travel memories happen away from the most crowded destinations. A family cruise offers unmatched value — one price covers accommodation, food, entertainment, and transportation between destinations, with something for every age onboard. Caribbean all-inclusive resorts with water parks, Rocky Mountain ranch vacations, national park road trips, and European river cruises tailored for multi-generational groups are all experiences our advisors design regularly.
