Celebrating Halloween at Orlando Theme Parks

Orlando, Florida, has been dubbed the Theme Park Capital of the World, and for good reason: Between Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios, the area is teeming with fun attractions for all ages. The theme parks really get into the holidays, and Halloween is no exception! Halloween horror in the parks ranges from mild to wild, but whichever one you choose to visit will leave you in quite the holiday mood. Here’s what you can expect from the celebrations for Halloween at Orlando theme parks:

  • Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World  If you have kids from toddlers to teens, then this is the Halloween party for you if you’ll be in the Orlando area this October! Your little goblins will enjoy trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom, saying hello to a wide variety of Disney characters all decked out for the occasion. The decorations and music featured throughout the park will simply scream and ooze Halloween! Your favorite Disney villains will take center stage in front of the castle as they open the night, a barbershop quartet of dead cowboys will serenade you on Main Street, USA, and everyone will delight as the headless horseman himself leads the “Boo to You” parade! The Party takes place on select evenings throughout September and October, and the entrance fee is in addition to general park admission.

  • SeaWorld Spooktacular®  Family fun in Orlando. Geared toward the younger members of the family, the SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular is big on thrills for the little ones. Kids love trick-or-treating during this daytime event as they explore our decorated trail and meet all sorts of colorful characters. And that’s just the beginning! From spooky stories and a Halloween dance party to moments with furry friends like Count von Count, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and more, this is immersive family fun you’ll only find here. It’s included in your regular park admission. The Spooktacular event is taking place beginning September 18 – October 31 (weekends only).

  • SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream Orlando’s newest Halloween event. Howl-O-Scream has washed ashore at SeaWorld Orlando, and it lasts for 27 nights of fully immersive fear this fall. Evade angry haunts as they rampage through scare zones. Get ready for the haunted houses of SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream. Scare Zones and roaming haunts at every turn. There are no safe zones. High-energy musical dance show as well as DJs and party zones. Experience the family fun by day and the bone-chilling terror by night
  • Disney Not So ScaryHalloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios  At Universal Studios, Halloween horror is kicked up a notch. This one is not for the little ones! Teens and adults will enjoy the nightmarish atmosphere on select evenings from September 3 until October 31.  You’ll fight to keep your wits about you as you journey through ten haunted houses, each scarier than the next and Five Scare Zones. Admission is separate from regular park admission, and you should order tickets early, as they do sell out.

Halloween can mean fun that is mildly spooky or totally terrifying. Whatever your preference, there is a party for you in Orlando this September!
