Why Switzerland Travel Is On The Rise

Switzerland is a beautiful country with a lot to see and do. It’s not much of a surprise that for the 5th year in a row travel to Switzerland from the United States has increased. There are many reasons why Americans are choosing Switzerland as their vacation spot each year.

The Luxury
Individuals that travel to Switzerland often feel a bit of exclusivity. The country can be kind of pricey as compared to other countries in Europe so those that actually are able to travel to Switzerland are considered to be wealthy or well off. They are often treated very well by the Swiss and more than happy to accommodate visitors.

The Swiss Mountains
These mountains are a huge reason why many Americans are visiting Switzerland each year. No matter what time of year it is they offer a lot of things for travelers to do. During the winter months they’re home to just about any activity involving snow that you can think of. During the summer months they are great for those that want to hike or explore. No matter what time of year it is they are always beautiful and a big tourist attraction.

Accessibility
Switzerland is easily accessible by plane with large international airports in Basil, Zurich and Geneva. For those that will be arriving to Switzerland from another country in Europe, there are most likely several train routes to get them there. Public transportation in Switzerland is phenomenal. There’s mountain transport systems as well as clean buses and trains that tend to be very punctual and usually run anywhere from every 15-30 minutes. For those that plan on renting a car while in Switzerland they will find that most of the popular tourist attractions are easily accessible by car.

The Food and Nightlife
There’s nothing like the food that you will find in Switzerland. While there, many tourists actually shop at one of the major grocery stores like Coop and Migros and buy staples for breakfast and lunch rather than going out to eat for these meals every day. This is a great way to not only save some money, but to experience a wide variety of the exceptional food. The evening is a great time to splurge a little and go out to dinner at one of the many pubs, then hit up a local bar or nightclub for some after hours fun. One of the more popular clubs is the Kaufleuten. It’s a frequent hangout for celebrities.

If you are going to be one of the many Americans visiting Switzerland this year we have a lot of great tours available that will make your vacation even more enjoyable. These tours will really allow you to discover Switzerland in a way that you probably wouldn’t be able to do on your own.
