While having a backyard Easter egg hunt can be pretty fun, many cities are having their own elaborate celebration. If you are looking for a new place to take your kids on the hunt for colorful eggs or are just interested to see how other cities celebrate, check out these events that may be taking place in a city near you.

The White House
Every year The White House hosts the Easter Egg Roll. This event is so popular that tickets are distributed in a lottery type process. Unfortunately, the tickets have already been distributed for this year, but you can sign up in February to attend next year’s event that takes place the day after Easter. The Easter Egg Roll is definitely worth it as the President and his family are usually there and many celebrities as well.

City Of Winter Park
This event has taken place for over 60 years and will be occurring on March 26 this year for kids 0-10 years old. There will be over 10,000 eggs to find and the egg hunt is special needs friendly. If you are near the Orlando area, skip the parks and check out this fun event hosted by the City Of Winter Park.

Biltmore Estate
Located in Asheville, this beloved North Carolina event is included with paid admission to the Biltmore Estate on Easter Sunday. In addition to all of the eggs, there will be storytelling and magic shows. Another perk of attending this event is that it overlaps with the Biltmore Blooms flower festival so there will be a lot of opportunities to take some spectacular pictures, so don’t forget your camera.

Copper Mountain, Colorado
Forget the snow, hop on over to Copper Mountain for a massive Easter egg hunts with 65,000 eggs. They actually claim that this is the world’s largest Easter egg hunt. In the morning, there are various hunts that are divided by ages. At noon, even the adults can get in on the fun at the top of the Eagle Lift where thousands of eggs are scattered for everyone to try to find. There’s an added bonus for recycling the eggs after the hunt, as the first 400 children to turn in their eggs will get a special prize. The event usually only has around 50,000 eggs, but it increased this year thanks to adding 15,000 eggs that are made out of plant based materials and are biodegradable.
