One Of A Kind Experience On The Emirates Plane

The Emirates A380 plane gives first class passengers an experience they won’t forget. The plane has a bar and showers on board. Not only can you calm your fears with a handcrafted drink in your hand, but you can freshen up before your plane lands. Here are all the exciting details.

The Logistics
There are two shower suites on the A380 plane. They are located on each side of the front of the upper deck. First class passengers can shower one time per flight. Passengers can spend about 30 minutes each in the shower room. Right around takeoff, shower attendants will visit each passenger so they can make a reservation to use the shower rooms.

Perks
The showers have heated floors and you can even control the temperature. The showers are well equipped with toiletries that are free of charge. After your shower you will also be pleased to find a fruit appetizer waiting at your seat.

Drawbacks
You only get around five minutes to actually shower. There’s a timer a timer that will allow you to keep track of your time. It will go from green, to yellow, to red. However, you can turn the water off while you are lathering up and turn it back on when you need too in order to conserve water. Another drawback is that in order for the shower to work the shower door actually has to be closed so you can’t turn on the water to check the temperature unless you are actually standing in the shower with the door closed. One thing you are probably asking yourself is what about turbulence. If this does happen, travelers are supposed to sit down on the shower’s bench and wait it out. There is no seatbelt on the bench so this could make for an uncomfortable ride.

Bar and Tea
Another perk for first class travelers is a bar. It located just opposite of the showers on the upper deck. The bar is open until a few hours before the plane lands. At that time, the bar is changed to a water display and the alcohol is replaced with tea.

Showers and bars are just some of the changes we have seen on planes in the last couple of years. Many airlines are striving to make passengers as comfortable as possible with as many amenities as they can come up with.
