For those that love wildlife, there are a variety of different places to see it. Dependent on which types of wildlife you’d like to see, you may need to leave the country to do so. For those that love to travel, this is no problem though as it’s all part of the adventure.
Penguins And Puffin
A favorite among animal lovers are both penguins and puffins. Where there is water at cool temperatures, you can often find these birds. A great place to see both is at the Dingle Peninsula Co. Kerry, Ireland. Here you can often see them swimming and sunning themselves on the shoreline.
Koalas And Lemurs
Lemurs are easily distinguishable with their long white and black ringed tails. One of the nice things about these animals is that they are social creatures so when you see one, you can usually spot at least 10 more in very close proximity. Koalas are cute and cuddly and seeing one is often on the bucket list of many animal lovers. They are fairly tame and there are many opportunities to hold one at zoos and wildlife sanctuaries around the world. You can easily see both lemurs and koalas by visiting the San Francisco Zoo as well as close to 1,000 other animals.
Dolphins And Whale
If there’s an ocean around, there’s a good chance that you can see a dolphin or whale. The best way to see both of these animals is to go on a cruise. There are quite a few cruises that are geared just towards seeing these animals. To increase your odds of seeing a dolphin or whale, the key is to be patient. Grab a chair and a drink and relax on your cruise while overlooking the water. If you are patient enough you may just see one of these amazing creatures.
Giant Pandas And Red Pandas
The best way to see any type of bear is to do so when they are in captivity This will not only keep you safe, but will ensure that you are actually able to spot one. Panda bears were recently taken off of the endangered species list thanks to breeding programs that are taking place in China. Chengdu Giant Panda Base is home to both giant pandas and red pandas. Visitors can watch pandas play and can even hold a panda if they wish to pay a small fee to do so.
