Places to Zipline While Cruising the World

St. Lucia’s Adrenaline Zip Line Adventure

From your cruise ship, you will go on a 30-minute ride to the Rainforest Adventure Park to go on this zip line. Once here, you will go on a hike through St. Lucia’s rainforest before you make your way to one of 18 platforms. In total, there are 9 different ziplines that you can experience. Once you are finished, you can enjoy complimentary refreshments and explore the gift shop before being transported back to your ship.

The Beast in San Juan, Puerto Rico

This experience starts with a tour of San Juan. After about an hour, you should arrive at Toro Verde Adventure Park where you will get the chance to ride on the famous Beast. There are 8 different zip lines in total here, with the best being almost a mile long, making it the world’s longest zip line. Afterward, you can explore the 316 acres of the adventure park.

Gumbalimba Park in Roatan, Honduras

Located off of a mountain ridge, this zip line will take you through a gorgeous tropical park. These zip lines range from 18 to 30 feet high and anywhere from 120 to 600 feet long. No matter which one you choose to go on, you will get an amazing view of the scenery down below. In addition to the zip line, you can tour the beautiful Gumbalimba Park.

Belize’s Jaguar Cave

The region where this zip line is located, San Ignacio, was once the home of ancient Mayans. The Jaguar Cave zip line is quite unique as it takes participants right through the cave. During the ride, they can also see the rainforest canopy and possibly spot howler monkeys hanging out in the trees.

Flighthouse Zipline at Harvest Caye

The Harvest Caye Port is fairly new as it’s only been open less than two years. It features a lot of different activities for travelers to participate in, including the Flighthouse Zipline. At 136 feet in the air and 1,300 feet long, it’s not surprising that this zip line has become a favorite activity among cruise ship passengers.

The Great Wall of China

Many travelers don’t realize that they can actually see the Great Wall of China via zip line. It’s only a short ride from Tianjin Beijing. After making the strenuous climb up to a designated spot and enjoying the view, participants can zip down a few hundred feet and get an interesting view of both the Wall and the surrounding landscape.

Costa Rica’s Arenal Volcano

The Arenal Volcano is fun to look at and zip line down. You will first make your way to the foothills of the volcano, learn a little bit about the local biodiverse ecosystem then go on a thrilling zip line ride. For those that want a different experience, they can make their way over to Monteverde, as it also offers zip lines through a cloud forest.

Icy Strait Point in Alaska

This zip line is fairly unique. It allows six riders at a time to zip down a line that is 18 football fields in length. On this ride, they can see the contrast of the trees, the mountains, and their cruise ship in the distance. For those riders that are lucky enough to visit this area in the winter, the mountains may even be snowcapped.

New popular cruise ships with optional zip line excursions you may want to consider are the Symphony of the Seas 2019, Celebrity Edge Cruises 2019, Norwegian Bliss Cruise 2019, and Norwegian Encore Cruises 2019.
