January 26, 2021 has been designated as National Plan for Vacation Day. Thousands of organizations join in this annual, nationwide event to encourage and inspire Americans to start dreaming about future getaways. While much of the country continues to face rising COVID-19 case numbers and travel restrictions, National Plan for Vacation Day is the chance to do what is safe and productive: plan ahead.
National Plan for Vacation Day will kick off Phase 3 of the “Let’s Go There Campaign” in 2021. It helps highlight the importance of taking time off to travel, both for personal health and well-being and the overall economic prosperity of our nation. Since 2015 survey findings have shown that vacation days are not being used, negatively affecting health, relationships and companies. Those who do plan to take time off are happier and healthier.
