For all those who are avid fans of music and drama, and true Mozart fans then there is one festival you will want to experience at least once in your lifetime. Each year in Salzburg, Austria the Salzburg Festival, also known as the Salzburger Festspiele is held over 5 weeks. This festival begins each year at the end of July and will commence throughout August.
The Salzburg Festival is held right in the town where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born, who is of course a renowned composer and a musician many admire. With this year being 2010 it marks the 90th year of the festival. This year the operas, plays and concerts revolve around mythological themes for the 90th anniversary.
The Salzburg Festival itself has assumed an aura of mythical throughout the past nine decades, and this year they want to make this aura shine. For 2010 there will be 15 subscription options available. 7 of these will offer attractive performances over five days. Performances you will see in this series include:

The festival goes from July 25th to August 29 with tickets ranging between the prices of €15 to €400. The price for the events will depend on which event you want to attend, but there are options for every budget.
