Celebrate Princess Cruises 50th Anniversary

2015 marks Princess Cruise Lines 50th anniversary, so all guests that sail will be treated to a themed menu, new cocktails and entertainment as well as festive onboard celebrations.

The following anniversary offerings will be available on all Princess ships to celebrate Princess Cruises 50th Anniversary:

Love Boat Disco Deck Party – Movie Under the Star video will show messages from the cast of the Love boat show along with a 70’s Disco party.  There will also be live entertainment, and it’s an opportunity for guest celebrating a wedding or anniversary to be recognized as well.

New Cocktails – Spike Marchant, the cruise line’s renowned mixologist has made new cocktails available to celebrate the 50th anniversary.  There is also a special anniversary labeled 1/2 bottle of Prosecco and a new IPA craft beer that was brewed for this year.

Entertainment – Go to the Piazza for a balloon drop – some will include a giveaway inside.  The crew will song a special anniversary song and guests can compete in a Princess trivia challenge.

Decor – ships have a 50th anniversary flag on the bow and decor will be throughout the ship.  Each guest will receive a complimentary 50th anniversary tote bag in their cabin.

In other Princess news, the 3rd Royal Class ship will be delivered in the Spring of 2017.  The as-yet unnamed 143,000 ton vessel will carry 3,560 guests and feature the successful design platform of the Royal and Regal Princess.  The ship will also include some  brand new innovations to enhance the guest experience even further.

Four new musicals will be created for the cruise line by Oscar-winner and composer Stephen Schwartz who wrote Wicked, Pippin and Godspell.  his first muscial for Princess will celebrate Schwartz’s lifelong fascination with magic.  The show will be called Magic to Do, and will combine magic with some of Schwartz’s most famous songs.

Chocolate Journeys:  In partnerships with master chocolatier Norman Love, princess introduced this delectable experience.  Guests can view and eat from an impressive array of onboard chocolate desserts as well as chocolate and wine pairings, specialty cocktails and even chocolate spa treatments.

Technology:  New Wi-Fi at sea will offer 10 times faster internet service onboard and there is a new complimentary mobile app while on your cruise.
