Disney Fairytale Weddings are the perfect choice for any Disney lover. More than 30,000 couple have had a Disney Fairytale Wedding. This venue makes for a magical experience as brides can choose from a variety of themes, dresses and venues.

Ceremony Sites
Disney has a lot of different ceremony sites to choose from. Their most popular one is Disney’s Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It’s available for ceremonies Monday through Friday at select times. It can accommodate anywhere from 4-250 guests. Epcot offers a lot of ceremony locations including Canada Terrace, China Courtyard, Italy Plaza and Morocco. For those guests that want to get married near the water, Disney’s Boardwalk or Yacht Club resorts are perfect choices.

Dresses
In pure Disney style there are even glamorous gowns available for the brides and the bridal party. Designer Alfredo Angelo has made an exclusive line of dresses for Disney weddings. Each dress is subtly designed based on one of the Disney princesses. The most surprisingly thing about this dress line is that they are affordable. Most of the wedding dresses are under $1500 each. There are also a wide range of sizes available from 0-30.

Themes
If a Disney wedding isn’t enough in and of itself, guests can have a themed wedding. Many of the ceremony locations do have their own theme, such as those that are in Epcot pavilions. However, Disney encourages guests to have the wedding of their dreams and will help them with the planning and executing of the theme that they desire. They are available to give ideas as to what would work well and to offer suggestions. Popular themes that have been used in the past include Cinderella’s Ball and Midsummer Night’s Dream.

What bride doesn’t want to arrive in style to her wedding ceremony? Brides that are having a Disney wedding have lot of different modes of transportation that they can choose from. One of the most popular choices is riding in Cinderella’s Coach. It is pulled by six white ponies with a driver controlling it. Brides can also ride in a Ford Model A, Rolls Royce or limousine. Dependent on the locations, guests are often transported to the ceremony site in a motor coach or charter bus.

Cost
Considering that the average wedding in the U.S. cost about $25,000, a Disney Wedding is very affordable. There are actually packages that start at around $3,000. As with any wedding, costs will go up based on the amount of people that is in attendance and the wedding theme. Most weddings at Disney range from $10,000 to $20,000.

Reception
The reception will take place at a different location than where the ceremony is held. The bride and groom can choose from over 20 different venue choices. For those that want their reception to feel classy and elegant they can choose one of the 4 Disney ballrooms. For couples that want their guests to experience the beautiful Florida weather there are many outdoor venue sites such as Crescent Cove or Shipwreck Beach. Food options include a multi-course plated menu or a buffet.

Other Important Information:

  • Theme park tickets and accommodations are not included in any of the wedding packages. However, Disney does offer discounted rates for guests attending a Disney wedding.
  • The couple will have to provide their own officiate.
  • Disney weddings do tend to fill up pretty quickly. Therefore, it is recommended that they be booked at least a year in advance. Many brides have to book their wedding at least 16 months before the actual date in order to ensure that they can have their wedding on the day that they choose.
  • Disney characters are available to attend the reception and take pictures with. They are not allowed to participate in the actual wedding ceremony in any way.

Disney weddings aren’t just available in Orlando. Couples can get married at the Disneyland Resort in California, the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort or even on the Disney Cruise Line. Wedding packages do vary with each location.

For your honeymoon in Orlando,  you can plan a Disney vacation package, a Disney cruise or both with a 3 day land/4 day cruise package.
