Viking Cruises just announced they will restart with limited operations sailing around Bermuda and Iceland in June of 2021. The news follows Viking’s recent announcement that it would initially restart operations with domestic sailings in England for U.K. residents onboard Viking Venus beginning in May 2021. These initial sailings sold out within a week.

All of Viking’s “Welcome Back” voyages will be available for vaccinated guests, in accordance with local entry rules in many of the destinations Viking will sail to with new health and safety protocol enhancements to protect guests and crew. Utilizing a full-scale laboratory installed on every Viking ocean ship, all guests and crew will receive quick and easy non-invasive saliva PCR tests at embarkation and frequently throughout the itinerary. New air purification technology has also been installed on all Viking ships, which have always had independent air handling units for all guest staterooms.

The Viking Orion cruise ship will homeport in Hamilton, Bermuda. Discover the colonial history and natural beauty of the subtropical island of Bermuda. Explore the cobblestone streets and colorful facades of St. George’s, the oldest settlement in the New World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a sunset cruise by catamaran as you trace the shores of Bermuda’s stunning bays. Play a round of golf, or relax and soak up the sun on the pink sands of one of Bermuda’s renowned beaches.

Iceland’s Natural Beauty itinerary will be done by Viking Sky cruise ship, homeporting in Reykjavik with 8-day roundtrip itineraries. Discover Iceland’s majestic shores as you explore this northern isle’s coastal towns. Encounter unparalleled natural beauty and witness cascading waterfalls amid pristine fjord landscapes. Discover Viking heritage as you follow in the footsteps of intrepid explorer Leif Eriksson. Or observe the wealth of wildlife, from puffins to the gentle giants of the sea.
