Only in Australia

From the remote outback to the Great Barrier Reef, there’s nothing like Australia’s natural beauty. The amount of sun, sand and open space in Australia is a luxury of the rarest kind. You’ll find endless idyllic settings for outdoor dining, spa and vineyard retreats and intriguing wilderness lodges. Australian luxury isn’t just about five star properties, it’s about the unique experiences amid breathtaking beauty you’ll never forget.

Here’s a guide to a few of our favorite spots:

Kangaroo Island, South Australia
Just a short boat or plane ride from Adelaide, Kangaroo Island is considered Australia’s Galapagos. Here, a bushwalk will take you along the stunning coast to the Remarkable Rocks, under the eucalyptus homes of sleepy koalas, and across fields of grazing kangaroos.

Margaret River, Western Australia
Grab a drink at Little Creatures brewery in Perth and meet the locals. Head south for more food and wine in Margaret River. Road trip down the coast to Margaret River, past some of Australia’s pristine beaches, home to long stretches of the whitest sand and bluest waters you’ve ever seen. Take time to sample some of Australia’s most talked about wines at this coastal wine growing region. Twenty percent of Australia’s premium wines are grown here.

Port Douglas, Queensland
A base to explore the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, tropical Port Douglas offers great boutiques, markets filled with exotic fruits, and Four Mile Beach. Daily cruises depart to the reef’s Low Isles. In this section of the inner reef, visitor numbers are limited to preserve the fragile cay. A haven for marine life, you’ll find plenty of sea turtles. Hop back onto dry land to explore the world’s oldest rainforest, the Daintree, with walks with the local aboriginal Kuku Yalanji.

Freycinet Peninsula, Tasmania
Twenty-five percent of Tasmania’s wilderness is world heritage listed, meaning that untouched landscapes lie just outside your doorstep. The perfectly curved Wineglass Bay is the perfect way to get acquainted with Tasmania’s natural beauty. Spend the day cruising the Freycinet Peninsula, and watch the mountainous Hazards grow pink as the sun sets. In Tasmania, make sure to keep an eye out for the Tasmanian Devil – one of the most famous locals on this island.
