The world’s first private jet, that’s also a hotel in the sky, is finally almost ready for its first passengers. This luxury plane was first set to be completed in February, but won’t grace the skies until 2016.
However, it will be well worth the wait for those that have the privilege of soaring through the skies on this flying hotel.
“The culmination of a vision to deliver a fully immersive Four Seasons Private Jet Experience both in the air and on the ground, every element of the private jet journey has been re-imagined and designed through the Four Seasons lens to capture the company’s signature aesthetic, style and legendary service in the sky. Building on a history of innovation, the Four Seasons Private Jet exemplifies the company’s commitment to evolving the guest experience to anticipate and exceed the changing needs of the modern luxury traveller.”
About The Plane
This single aisle jet will only accommodate 52 guests. This is about 150 seats less than most Boeing 757’s have. This will ensure plenty of room for each passenger. The seats will fold flat so guests can get a good night’s sleep while on-board. Passengers can utilize items like cashmere blankets and noise cancelling headphones so that they can get a good night’s sleep, despite being on an airplane. One of the best features of this plane is the crew. There will be not only a guest services manager and concierge, but a sous chef and executive chef. This means that passengers will have all of their needs attended too and experience food that goes way beyond traditional airplane peanuts. The goal is to provide guests with almost the same experience as they would have if they were staying at a Four Season’s resort. This means fine linens and tableware, impeccable food and an overall personalized experience.
The Price Tag
If you want this level of comfort, then you have to be willing to pay for it. A round trip ticket will cost $132,000. Despite this, passengers will get a lot for the money. The itinerary includes a 24 day trip that goes to nine destinations including Sydney, Bali, Istanbul and Hawaii. Along the way guests won’t just be sleeping on the plane, but will get to stay at Four Season’s hotels that are at some of their destinations. The journey starts in Los Angeles with the final destination being in London. Included in the hefty price tag are all beverages and meals, including onboard champagne and wine, planned excursions and transportation once on the ground.
So if you are ready for the plane ride of a lifetime, bookings are currently available. If you do end up on this 24 day jaunt around the world, be sure to tell us about your experience.
