Music lovers don’t have to just settle for local events to get their concert fix. Throughout the world there are quite a few music festivals that take place. Not sure which festival to attend? The following music festivals are ones that you should definitely add to your bucket list.

Hangout Music Festival 
Where: Gulf Shores, Alabama 
When: May 18- May 20, 2018
Are you ready to listen to some of your favorite bands while relaxing on the beach? If this is the case then the Hangout Music Festival won’t disappoint. One of the nice things about this festival is that it spans over just 3 days so you can definitely take a long weekend to just get away and see some of your favorite artists. This year’s musical acts will include Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, The Chainsmokers and Zedd.

Melt Festival
Where: Ferropolis, Germany
When: July 13-15, 2018
This music festival started back in 1997 in Velten with only around 1,000 people in attendance. Each year it has grown to be bigger and better than ever and music lovers flock from all over the world just to be a part of it. The music is euphoric and the different performers are diverse. This year’s line up includes Fever Ray, Florence + The Machine, Nina Kraviz, ODesza, The Black Madonna and The XX.

Lollapalooza 
Where: Buenos Aires, Argentina
When: August 2-5, 2018
Started in 1991, this is one of the most well known festivals in the world. Lollapalooza features more than 170 bands on 8 different stages. In addition to the musical performances there is also an art market and a mini-festival for the kids. This years performers include Bruno Mars, LL Cool J, Portugal. The Man, Post Malone, Travis Scott and The Weeknd.

Earth Gardens Malta
May 31- June 3, 2018
Where: Malta
With 5 different stages: Electronic Sphere, Enchanted Forest, Jamming Area, Roots Stage and Strawberry Hill, there are plenty of musical acts on hand at this festival to fill them up. Around 25,000 people are in attendance each year at this festival and it’s a great location for those travelers on a budget as it’s a pretty affordable island. The music is diverse and includes everything from Gypsy Punk to Psychedelic Trance. The acts for 2018’s festival will include Gentleman’s Dub Club, Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble, K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade and Tetra Hydro K.

Sziget Festival 
Where: Obuda Island, Hungary
When: August 8-14, 2018
The performers at this annual festival tend to be huge and so do the crowds. Over 400,000 people are in attendance every year. The location is perfect as the weather tends to be nice and the island is surrounded by the Danube. Scheduled performers this year include Dua Lipa, Goo Goo Dolls, Kendrick Lamar and Shawn Mendes.
