Over the years volunteers have helped run the North America Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) site that tracks Santa on Christmas Eve. Children around the world can track Santa on the NORAD Tracks Santa website, as well as on social media and on the free mobile app. Other ways to track Santa include calling the toll-free number 1-877-HI-NORAD, sending an email to noradtrackssanta@outlook.com, or track via NORAD’s social media accounts.
According to NORAD, Santa usually starts at the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean and travels west (New Zealand and Australia). Then, Santa will make his way across Asia, Africa and Europe before flying across the ocean to the United States.
You can also track Santa on Google as well by typing SANTA or CHRISTMAS into google search and a spinning hat will appear that will take you to Santa’s Village. Join the holiday-related activities in a fun virtual world featuring holiday characters and a countdown clock to the big day. Users can watch animated videos of Santa’s adventures, make their own Santa selfies, create their own elves and igloos, solve puzzles and games and track Santa on Christmas Eve.
Here’s a fun fact. Santa’s journey lasts 25 hours, according to Google. He makes his first stop just after 10 pm local time in Russia, when it’s 5 am in New York and 11 am in Paris.
The Google Santa tracker won’t be live until December 24, but you can play a candy cane tilt game, fly an elf on a jetpack, take a penguin down a ski slope, search for Santa in many different environments, read a story about Ollie the narwhal, jam with elves in an all elf-band, paint or draw color holiday characters and enjoy many more fun activities.
You can call Santa with Google Assistant and get connected to an elf in his workshop or get a Santa Joke with recorded jokes from Santa himself.
You can also use ALEXA and Google Home. Just say Alexa where is Santa or Alexa fine NORAD tracker or anything similar. Install the Alexa app, Santa Tracker app, or Google Home app on your phone to check his status if you’re traveling or away from home for the day.
