What’s New with Tauck Tours? The gift of time is back!  Tauck’s Gift of Time was so well received in 2012 that Tauck is repeating the offer in 2013 to past guests only, for one FREE hotel night at Tauck’s hotel, before or after any 2013 Tauck Exotics trip.

Also new for 2013 is that Tauck will offer complimentary internet access in hotel guest rooms where ever service is available.

Here’s a preview of what’s new in Africa, China and India:

Kenya: A Safari Adventure – Tauck Culturious’ new safari, limited to no more than 20 guests, includes private talks by researchers on giraffes and elephants, a demonstration of anti-poaching techniques, and an astronomy lesson under the open skies of the Mara. Your clients will visit the farmhouse where Karen Blixen penned Out of Africa and a Maasai village, and see phenomenal wildlife on a walking safari, a horseback safari, a hot air balloon flight and game drives in sight of Mt. Kilimanjaro and in a conservancy for rare black rhinos, as well as be indulged on multi-night stays in boutique, luxury tented camps.

Botswana, South Africa & Zambia – Limited to 20 guests, this new safari combines urbane, multicultural Cape Town, South Africa, with the national parks of Botswana and Zambia; together these parks offer the largest concentration of unspoiled wildlife on Earth. Your clients will find touching history and hip culture in Cape Town, and seaside tranquility and wildlife on a boat trip to Seal Island and the Cape of Good Hope. They’ll see more amazing wildlife by vintage steam train, on a lion walk, on a night safari, on a walking safari with bushmen, on a dugout canoe ride through marshland, and in a charming meerkat community on the Botswana salt pans. Includes 3 nights at the sublime One&Only Cape Town and multi-nights in luxury tented safari camps.

The Best of China – This new 11-day trip is designed for your clients with limited time for travel. Visiting Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu and Shanghai, the focus is on China’s must-see sights from Tiananmen Square to the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Terra Cotta Warriors. Highlights include a visit to a panda research center that includes cuddling time with a baby panda, a walking tour of Shanghai’s Old French Concession, time to visit a hot springs resort outside Beijing and Shanghai’s trendy Shikumen neighborhoods, a hot pot meal and a factory visit in Chengdu, and a three-night stay at the historic Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai.

Northern India & Nepal – Exotic, rare and wonderful… this new 17-day tour explores New and Old Delhi, visits Humayun’s Tomb and the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and then heads to Kathmandu. Your clients will flightsee over the Himalayas, rickshaw along the bustling shops and cafs of Thamel, visit the temples and pagodas of Durbar Square, see remarkable stupas, monks, monasteries and traditional crafts. Monumental India follows with the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, ancient temples, open-topped jeep drives through two national parks home to tigers, leopards, jungle cats, sloth bears and more… before a return to Mumbai (Bombay) to see the Gateway of India and Elephanta Island.
